Description
In 2002, Maison Sichel bought a property in Saint-André-du-Bois 60 km south of Bordeaux and renamed it Château Argadens in reference to the noble family which founded the estate in the thirteenth century. Maison Sichel has itself been managed by the same family for 7 generations since 1883. In addition to Château Argadens, the family own 4 other properties, including famed Château Palmer.
The Château Argadens Bordeaux Supérieur is made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc harvested from 30 year old vines located on some the highest hills of the Entre-Deux-Mers. It was fermented in temperature controlled tanks and aged for 12 to 14 months prior to bottling.
