Description
Bodegas Bleda dates back to 1902 when the Bleda family started a prosperous wine and olive oil business. When the winery was founded, to bottle and export wine was unthinkable, as Jumilla was traditionally a bulk wine region. However, the Bleda family were pioneers, and their ‘Castillo de Jumilla’ wines were the first to be sent to markets abroad… Bodegas Bleda represents the best of Jumilla. They have one foot in the past with respect to their organic viticulture practices, hand-harvesting, and traditional fermentations done with native yeast. They also have a measured approach to modern techniques too, employing temperature-controlled ferments, specifically for their white wines to keep them fresh and vibrant. On the whole, their wines are stylish, characterful, true to the region and varietal, and offer exceptional value for money… The Blanco is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Macabeo, and Airén. Super fresh, aromatic, and energetic. An intriguing white wine.” – Alex Good, Spur Imports
