Steven Campbell is the man behind Campbell Kind Wines. The president of Lifford Wine & Spirits, Steven created this project in partnership with a group of winemakers from around the world. The project currently produces eight different wines from six countries. This Syrah was produced in partnership with winemaker Bruce Jack. Well known for founding the Flagstone winery, Jack is an influential character in the Western Cape. In 2018 he launched a new venture named after himself, Bruce Jack Wines.

Hibiscus red in the glass, this wine displays the classic bouquet of piquant Syrah. On the nose it has aromas of dried cranberries, cigar box, and cracked black pepper. Medium bodied with sinewy tannins, it has flavours of red plum, licorice, olive, and cured meat. The finish has a good amount of spice to it. This wine is a strong companion for bold and meaty flavours. If you want to pair this wine with barbecued steak, adding Argentinian Chimichurri sauce (made of finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano and red wine vinegar) will nicely bring out its herbal qualities.
