This fruity fortified wine is made from 100% Bual grapes grown on the island of Madeira. It was aged for 10 years in American oak casks using the Canteiro system, which involves gradually moving the casks from the higher, warmer floors down to the lower floors where the temperature is much cooler. In the glass it balances spicy dried fruit notes of apricot and orange peel, with salty notes of cinnamon and hazelnut.
