Bedrock Wine Co. was founded in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson in a former chicken coop. After six years of working solo, Morgan was able to talk his best friend, Chris Cottrell, into moving to California from New York to join him. Today they work with some of the finest old vines in California.
“Medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pagani Ranch Heritage Wine is youthfully coiled and, with air, slowly opens to aromas of crushed stone, candied peach, blueberry preserves, hollyhock, rooibos and desiccated roses with accents of perfumed earth. The palate is medium to full-bodied and tightly coiled, revealing glimpses of tricolored, floral and mineral-tinged fruits. The frame is chewy, with fantastic juicy acidity and a long, evolving finish. This will benefit from another year or two in bottle.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
“A brooding wine, with a distinctive personality, offering an intense core of lively tannins and acidity, paired with currant, lead pencil, fresh earth and cracked pepper flavors. Hands off for now. Tasted twice with consistent notes. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Mataro and Alicante Bouschet.” Wine Spectator
