Meet the Maker – Valter Fissore of Elvio Cogno

Join us as we travel to the province of Cuneo, Italy with hills famous for their history, culture and beauty and recently recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Valter Fissore is the Co-owner and winemaker at Elvio Cogno, a multi-generational winery in the Novello commune in the Piedmont region of Italy. Valter had worked side by side with his father-in-law Elvio Cogno for over 25 years producing iconic Barolos before Elvio’s passing in 2016. Now Valter carries on the tradition with his wife Nadia.

*Please note this tasting will take place at our Victoria Park location at 1310 – 1st Street SW. The tasting will include a selection of cheese and charcuterie from our friends at Peasant Cheese. Due to the high demand and limited space for our tastings, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another guest if you’re unable to join us, but we do not offer refunds for our tastings.
